Interconnected Impacts
Hello My Dear Friends
My lesson learned comes from a very personal space of home that I would like to share with you. My intention is to demonstrate how important it is to remember that we are not isolated, but are eternally souls connected. Every action, thought or word WILL have its consequences and we are fully responsible.
I have over the last 20 years managed to create in my garden a canopy of trees that have most importantly served to protect my daughter from a rare disorder. She is sensitive to daylight! We had managed to create a little haven for her to enjoy outside when the light was low and to darken her play area inside where she could still watch birds that shared her space.
To cut the story short, a neighbour, bothered by the branches that shaded her side of the concrete space where she parked her car, and worried about the leaves that fell in Winter chose to hack at these old trees. One a grand old Olive tree and the other a gift from my departed mother. The action taken I know was to address the above but had further repercussions.
The outcome was my daughter now exposed to the daylight had a seizure, fell badly and now has bleeding over her right temporal brain area and we sit in trauma waiting to see what the consequences are that adds to her already affected existence and further, the sad situation that was also created, as we pick up baby birds who had nested in the trees and are now no longer protected from the Winter storms.
It is so important for us to remember that we are powerful and every decision made has its impact. Whether it be a politician who makes a decision that pre-empts a war or a Natural Resource that has a delicate eco system destroyed! Or be it a cruel comment made that sparks a person to act irrationally and hurt others, we have to KNOW we were responsible too.
Tread carefully on this Earth my dear friends let your actions and thoughts be those well considered.
